Matrix heating furnace

The matrices preheating furnace is a pit type furnace with material loading from above.

It is used for the preheating of the matrices used for the extrusion of aluminium profiles.

The maximum operating temperature is about 600 ° C which can be reached through heating ramps made by means of customizable gradients suitable for the type of treatment to be carried out, in compliance with the required performances.

The heating usually takes place by means of drawer electric resistances inserted inside special ducts.

The recirculation of the internal atmosphere is forced by the use of a centrifugal fan placed on the rear wall of the furnace.

The insulating lining provided is specifically designed to ensure optimal performances of the furnace and it’s made of materials suitable for the operating temperature and the required process characteristics.

The door opening is manually operated by means of one or more pneumatic cylinders applied to the machine. The loading and unloading of the material is also manual.

Heating by means of resistances makes it possible to use an inert nitrogen atmosphere. In this way, it is possible to use the furnace in two different configurations, in a protective atmosphere or in air, depending on the production needs.

Automation guarantees control of the entire process, interfacing with the company supervisor.

This type of system is designed and built to comply with the regulatory standards and the class of belonging of the furnace that the Customer requires (AMS – NADCAP).
